Our DT curriculum is viewed as an important part of the children’s entitlement to a broad and balanced curriculum. Design technology provides the children with the opportunities to develop and extend skills and an opportunity to express their individual interests, thought and ideas.

We aim to:

• learn about the principles of Nutrition - keeping healthy and life skills (cooking)
• engage, inspire, challenge –developing proficiency in different mediums, taking risks, becoming resourceful, innovate, enterprising and capable citizens
• experiment, design, test and critique - their own works and that of others, including designing and making high-quality prototypes and products for a wide range of users
• learn about a range of Influencers – world-wide designers, local designers – past and present in the technological world
• explore the evolution of society – history, culture, creativity, wealth
• confidently use vocabulary related to Design Technology
